The first coursework in the year was to model a simple kitchen in 3D. Unfortunately due to me having never modelled a single object before, the learning curve was quite steep. Especially once I realized that texturing was extremely difficult if the model was one solid object and instead you should model parts that use different textures separately before combining them together.
Yep, my first “proper” project created in Premiere. Getting used to the software is mostly what’s slowing me down since I’m so used to editing video in Sony Vegas for so many years. That being said, Premiere’s ability to integrate with After Effects is PERFECT. It’s such a beautiful link that saves me soooo much time when creating compositions and complex effects as it means I can edit and it automatically updates in Premiere. With Sony Vegas, I need to export the composition, import into Vegas and then try and tweak it so it matches the surrounding contents. Literally a nightmare when you have around a million compositions and you suddenly need to tweak that one tiny thing at 1 minute 45 seconds or something….
